At our inaugural meeting in April 2015, we identified key themes relevant to HIV and women.  Following this we created nine Specialist Interest Groups (SIGs).  Within each SIG we try to collect existing work, host discussion forums, develop themed seminars, and generate research projects.

  • Clinical management (includes comorbidities, adherence, reproductive and post-reproductive health, ageing)
  • Engagement in care
  • Engagement in research
  • HIV prevention
  • Gender-based violence
  • Marginalised groups (including migrants, prison populations, IDUs, transgendered women)
  • Mental health, psychological well-being and neurocognition
  • Talking about HIV (what is known as disclosure)
